Galaxy S22Over time, temporary files can cause slowdowns.
Galaxy App Booster: Install the Good Guardians app from the Samsung Galaxy Store, then run the "App Booster" module. This optimizes all apps on your device.
2. Adjust Animation Speeds (Makes Phone Feel Faster)
You can speed up the transitions themselves.
Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information and tap Build Number 7 times to enable Developer Options.
Go back to the main Settings menu and select Developer Options.
Scroll down to find:
Window animation scale
Transition animation scale
Animator duration scale
Change all three from 1x to 0.5x (or 0 to turn them off entirely).
3. Reset App Preferences
Corrupted system settings can cause lag after updates.
Go to Settings > Apps.
Tap the three-dot menu in the top right.
Select Reset app preferences.
4. Check for System/App Updates
An outdated One UI version can cause lag.
Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Open the Galaxy Store and Play Store to update all apps.
5. Check Storage Space
If your storage is nearly full (e.g., less than 10% free), the phone will crawl.
Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Storage to clear out large files or unused apps.
Summary of Actions
If it's still slow: Restart your phone. A fresh restart can clear temporary lags.
Final Resort: If the lag makes the phone unusable, back up your data and perform a Factory Data Reset.
