My s22 ultra transition from screen to screen slowly. When a selection is made it can take several seconds to display

I don't know if this will help but here it is This behavior is often caused by software glitches, cache congestion, or restricted system resources, rather than a hardware failure. Based on user experiences with the S22 Ultra, here are the most effective fixes, ordered from simplest to most advanced.

Over time, temporary files can cause slowdowns.

Galaxy App Booster: Install the Good Guardians app from the Samsung Galaxy Store, then run the "App Booster" module. This optimizes all apps on your device.

2. Adjust Animation Speeds (Makes Phone Feel Faster)

You can speed up the transitions themselves.

Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information and tap Build Number 7 times to enable Developer Options.

Go back to the main Settings menu and select Developer Options.

Scroll down to find:

Window animation scale

Transition animation scale

Animator duration scale

Change all three from 1x to 0.5x (or 0 to turn them off entirely).

3. Reset App Preferences

Corrupted system settings can cause lag after updates.

Go to Settings > Apps.

Tap the three-dot menu in the top right.

Select Reset app preferences.

4. Check for System/App Updates

An outdated One UI version can cause lag.

Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Open the Galaxy Store and Play Store to update all apps.

5. Check Storage Space

If your storage is nearly full (e.g., less than 10% free), the phone will crawl.

Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Storage to clear out large files or unused apps.

Summary of Actions

If it's still slow: Restart your phone. A fresh restart can clear temporary lags.

Final Resort: If the lag makes the phone unusable, back up your data and perform a Factory Data Reset.

They only make them to last about 2yr. As some as the new one comes out, the one you have, the system can't be up graded. So there for it will run slower.

They make them to last longer than 2 years.

The S22 Ultra receives 4 years of Updates and Newer phones get 7 years.

Thats is not true! I know someone that is still using their S9 galaxy phone (very outdated I know. LOL), which was released in 2018.
As "pianodude58" stated, the updates go further than 2 years.

If you don't already have it, install Good Guardians.

Run the Galaxy App Booster
Run Media File Guardian
