- This showed me which apps were consuming power.
- The top app 'SCOUT' is a remote controller—something that lets you see, hear, and control your phone from a computer.
2. Second app: “Media Picker”
- It was running in the background.
- I had no idea what it was at first… turns out it’s tied to the remote controller app 'SCOUT'.
3. To trace it:
- Go to Settings → Developer Options → Running Services
- I opened each app listed until—BOOM💥—I found “Media Picker” popping on and off repeatedly.
What This Might Mean
If you see “Media Picker” running and you’re not using any remote access tools, it could mean someone has access to your phone. In my case, I know what the app is — but didn't know second app was part of the app I installed. It’s worth checking if you’re unsure.
