It's been pretty clear so far
What are your exact camera settings in the base app and camera assistant

Mostly default settings. Hdr and lenses switching off. Focus over speed.

I no longer have focus over speed, turned it off
To speed up the shutter I've noticed if you go into the dev options and enable destroy activities it almost stops the image post over processing Screenshot_20240414_164645_Settings_1000007370_1713131205.pngScreenshot_20240414_164428_Camera Assistant_1000007368_1713131068.pngScreenshot_20240414_164407_Camera_1000007367_1713131047.pngScreenshot_20240414_164354_Camera_1000007366_1713131034.png

This setting in developer options generally isn't great for the average user with a high RAM device to have enabled. It will cause every app to force relaunch whenever it isn't being viewed, therefore decreasing overall efficiency if someone frequently switches between apps.

I will also say that I consistently take pictures of the moon and in the past they have been amazing but after the update, they have been extremely horrible because of the new AI integration.

In the Camera App, set Intelligent Optimization to ' Minimal'. That, and turning off Super HDR in the Galley app will remove all aggressive over-processing.
