I purchased this phone a week ago and I have to say how delighted I am with how well it runs compared to the s22 ultra however, I am absolutely Beyond brokenhearted over the fact that the s23 ultra does not have a good camera at all. I cannot get photos to come in without blur. Even up close this is just terrible this is a terrible camera. Is there anything I can do? I could really use some assistance because I take a lot of photos.

Try these steps. With the phone powered off, press + hold power and volume up buttons until the Samsung logo disappears. Using volume keys, highlight Wipe cache partition, and then power to select and confirm. Returning to the previous menu, use volume to navigate to Repair app, and then power again to select. This will reindex all your apps. If this doesn't work, kindly go to Settings>Apps>Camera>Storage>Clear data. This will essentially reset the camera app and you will lose all settings.

To be perfectly honest, they're not really comparable photos. I do see some blurriness in the crescent moon, but I am seeing several S22 Ultra pictures online that have this as well.

I had my s22 ultra for 20 months and it never took any photos as blurry as these. Even standard photos of my family are terrible on Zoom. And you zoom in they are blurry and you can't see definition at all. I also enough photographer so I'm a little bit disappointed in this because one of the reasons I upgraded to this phone was the differences in the camera and the upgrades.

From what you're describing, it sounds like you might have gotten a defective unit. If you've tried extensive troubleshooting, including a factory reset, I would see if you can exchange the phone.

I disagree. They are very different as one was taken with the s22 and one was taken with the s23 and the difference in quality is immense. I do a lot of photography. I do use some Pro cameras and I run a few camera groups so I do see there are major differences in the quality of the photos. This could be a camera issue or it could be a firmware issue be the type of camera engine and so this is why I asking for assistance. Have other Samsung users had this same issue with the s23 ultra photo quality?

A small number of other users have had some similar issues, but they have always been resolved through various troubleshooting steps. I think you should take two photos of the exact same thing and upload it here so we can get an accurate understanding of the differences you're referring to.

I've uploaded two moon photos. I no longer own the s22 ultra. I will take a full moon photo to stand alongside it when able. It is any image using 200mp or 100mp. It is any image zoomed in at all which is blurry.

Ah I see. šŸ˜… Can you upload a couple of different scenes/objects using the zoom on your S23U then?
