When I click the AI button in the Gallery app, choose 'Add from Gallery' in the menu and import part of an image from another photo, there is no way to save it. The "generate" button stays grayed out.

Have you tried getting the latest update and restarting your phone? Sometimes phones glitch out.

This "generate" button staying grayed out seems like a bug or a software limitation in the current version of the Gallery app. Try these steps to see if they help:

1. Ensure the Images are Compatible: Sometimes, if the images are too large, small, or in an unsupported format, the AI tool may not work correctly. Try using standard-resolution images or resizing them slightly and see if that allows the tool to function.

2. Clear Cache of the Gallery App: Go to Settings > Apps > Gallery > Storage and tap Clear Cache. This can sometimes fix issues with unresponsive or grayed-out buttons.

3. Check for App Updates: Make sure you have the latest version of the Gallery app installed. Go to the Galaxy Store or Play Store, search for Samsung Gallery, and check if an update is available.

4. Restart the Phone: A simple restart can refresh the appā€™s functions and may resolve temporary glitches.

5. Try Alternative Saving Methods: If the issue persists, you might consider taking a screenshot of the edited image as a workaround.

If none of these steps help, it may be worth reaching out to Samsung Support, as it could be a known bug that requires a software update to resolve.
