Can we keep Samsung Messages?!

I just opened my phone and realized Samsung wants us to switch to Google messages. I am not ok with this. This is a dumb idea. Google messages did not work well when I 1st bought my phone and I'm sure it doesn't work any better now. Please let us keep the option for Samsung messages. I'm sure many Samsung users feel the same way.

If you want to change this then call/contact carriers. It is carriers that forcing Samsung to do this.

I vote leave Samsung Messages alone... not a fan of Google Messages at all.

Give the users of Samsung a voice and from what I read... most would like things to stay as they are. Myself included. I will not switch to Google Messages now, you wanna switch it then you will have to switch it. Just know, When it does get switched, I will buy a new phone that is NOT a Samsung. My very first cell phone was an HTC in the early 90's, when that quit on me, I bought Samsung and have been diehard Samsung ever since. Never understood why companies do this kind of stuff to their loyal customers... seems idiotic to me! DO BETTER SAMSUNG, MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!!

Really wouldn't be an issue if Samsung maintained their apps. But their apps rarely get updated and rarely get new features.... they make app which mirror other devices but poorly supported.

If you don't want to use Google Messages, you don't have to. Alternative SMS apps like Textra, Chomp, and Handcent remain available in the Play Store.

They are not forcing you to use Google Messages. They are forcing you to not use Samsung Messages.  There's a difference.

Noone is forcing you to comment.... the whole point is they are forcing a change period... That is the difference! Its not hard to understand.
