Galaxy S23I fixed this - click each 'recently added' contact one by one, click the 'i' button for each one, then back out of the contact, and go to the next. One by one they will fall off of the recently added list until your favorites are at the top again.

Galaxy S23Settings>apps>phone>force stop>clear cache>clear data>close & reopen phone app & then go to contacts. Recently added section all gone!

Galaxy S23I didn't get the clear cache option after force stop, but going to the force stop did finally clear the recently added section. Thank you!

Galaxy S23I have an S22+. I did not have to force stop. I did, however, clear the cache, left the settings page, and when I opened the phone again the recently added items were gone. Thank you very much.
