The latest software update has a useful feature of "frequently searched" contacts showing at the top of contacts list when you click the search button.

However, when you search a contact and click on the desired contact, the contact jumps prematurely to the "frequently searched" section and becomes "de-selected". You have to trace it again to the "frequently searched" section at the top.

That creates inconvenience.

A better sequence would be for the contact to remain selected and in place, then the next time the user searches a contact, the phone uses past searches to populate the "frequently searched" section.

Did it actually get removed from its alphabetical spot, or was it just duplicated at the top? I find it hard to believe it would remove rather than mirror.

@BigWeasel When I do a search for a contact, the match pops up into Frequently searched. It was never selected below before being moved to Frequently searched and it isn't selected when it is in Frequently searched.

IF you want, you can submit a bug report via the Samsung Members app -> Support -> Send feedback.
