Cover does Not Shut Off

After the latest update the Samsung phone cover does not turn off display nor does it change to display in the window.

You may have to go into the ~Always on display settings and toggle the option to off. Is that the display you're referring to?

I chatted with tech support and the solution was so easy I am embarrassed to admit it.
I turned off the phone removed the case, replaced the case, and restarted phone.
Bingo it worked!
He had suggested i go to advanced options toggle "smart view", but that didn't work.
