So I had a s22 and it was running one ui 6 beta software. I recently got the s23 and it's running on 5.1 and still on the Feb. 2023 security patch. Does switching phones have anything to do with me stuck on 5 1

Check for software updates in settings. Phones come with whatever software they had in the factory. You should have an update available

I think that has nothing to do. Is your phone new? The feb update was released with the phone. Now we are at november patch or android update for some s23 users

No it depends on your carrier and if unlocked U1 version you should get the update as soon as it releases.

It says in security and privacy in settings "suggestion: update phone" but when I click it it says it's updated and it won't go away (the suggestion)
