Is there a way to fix or at least mitigate the issue? I accidentally had youtube.com open while asleep and now there is very obvious signs of burn in. I'd rather not pay 400 dollars as some sources claim it does as I don't have more than 80 dollars.

Leaving you tube on for that long would cause burn in in any manufacturers screen. However, moving imsges and video should not cause burn in, but could becsuse it was on so long. Burn in usually happens with a static display, as the pixels are not being alternated. It's the reason the always on display pixel shifts - to keep any group of pixels from being on too long.
And, why are you going to hold it against Samsung for something you did? At least get an estimate for the repair.
