So it appears my OneDrive gallery sync stopped working around April/May this year.
It states it's synching bits it's not the last photo is one or two around May and the bulk stopped around April.
I've done a search and removed the OneDrive account, unlinked it. Looked at camera back up in OneDrive instead. Toggled off various camera options etc .
Now it's worse as it says camera upload and it's uploading to OneDrive and deleting the meta data so time stamps of photos are being lost. I've switched off camera back up in OneDrive. The DCIM folder just seems to hold old photos which doesn't make sense as there is recent photos in OneDrive. It is a paid for 365 account so plenty of storage so that's not the problem.
I've contacted Samsung and they don't come back to you except to say someone will be in touch.
It was working fine, synching with OneDrive and then it started doing duplicates in my OneDrive account and now this.
Just worried I'm going to lose all my photos and/or at least all the timestamps as it uploads photos each morning from long ago and puts today's date on them hence switching off camera backup in OneDrive to temporarily stop the random uploads each morning which it didn't use to do.
Have you tried posting on Microsoft's help forum? (No guarantee that they'll be able to help you either)
Another user posted to answers.microsoft.com last spring with a very similar problem to yours. Unfortunately it doesn't look as though they were able to resolve the issue.
If it's any consolation, this does appear to be a known issue. I'll do a little more searching to see if anybody ever came up with a solution, but I'm not optimistic that I'll find anything.
