Every once in a while, most of my pictures in the Camera folder are deleted, and they don't even go into trash so I can restore them. Any ideas?

@rcanetti I would guess that you have a 3rd party app which is accessing the photo storage area and removing the files. You may have installed an app which backs up your photos somewhere else (cloud perhaps), or an app which is attempting to minimize the amount of storage used on your phone.

Thanks. It does back up to Google. I'll see if there's a setting at that end.

@rcanetti Google and Google Photos won't normally do that. But... if you delete them from Google Photos they could also be deleted from your phone. Same thing if you are using the setting in Gallery to backup to your Microsoft OneDrive. If you delete them from OneDrive, they could delete from your phone. I don't think that either of these will put the photos in the Gallery's trash.

No, I'm not deleting them anywhere. They're still in Google Photos. The pain is they don't go to Trash, they're just gone, and I have to download them back from Photos. It's happened a few times .

Same! I'm also experiencing events automatically deleted in my Calendar app which kinda screws with my daily life. Can't find a solution.

It's really a pain. I end up going to my Google Photos and downloading hundreds of photos back onto the phone.

Save them to the cloud, Google or Amazon, for instance. Mine automatically go to Google Photos, so even if my phone deletes them, I do still have them.
