Well this is going well, now after the April 18th Galaxy S24 update Google Pay refuses to work saying my device is running rooted software or uncertified software.

Google Wallet just changed its security settings. You have to use fingerprint or a pin code to scan credit/debit cards.
It's a long overdue security update from GW.

I have the April uodate on my S23U and GW works well with fingerprint security.
Below is an article about the feature.

One other item you can try.
Google Play Security does not automatically update on the device after each OS update. You have to do it manually. Have no idea why.

Phone Settings... Security & Privacy... Updates... Google Play Systen Update... Check For Update button. If there is an uodate, then it will download and will reboot your phone. March 1st is the most recent update for GP Services.

Hope this helps!

This did not fix it, I did reboot the thing and after a couple days it resolved. I think it was a bogus system issue on googles end.

Even after updating googles stuff it still reported the same error.
