How do I fix/disable now bar?

I just got the update for one UI 7 and was immediately annoyed. To save the rant, the now bar is to small to comfortably use for me and I want the old version of the lock screen media player and maps, where it was a large easy to read, center of the screen notification sized block. If it's not possible to get that back, then a way to downgrade one UI back a version would be appreciated

Go to settings and cut it off type now bar

Did that but if you disable the media player under now bar settings, it just removes it completely from the lock screen

Phone settings, lock screen and AOD, Now Bar... turn off all settings for it there

Interesting side not for anyone who might have a fix, turning of media player for under now bar settings just completely removes any form of control outside of homescreen widgets or the app. It just won't show up in the notification swipe down menu

This is horrific. Removing the optionality was a big mistake. Why do all Android and Windows machines have to move towards Apple copycat aesthetic... There's a reason I use an Android. And I don't want my UI to look like an iPhone and I want optionality. This dumb Now Bar is a direct copy paste of Apple's dynamic island and it just doesn't work. In general the One UI update is a massive step backwards from a usability standpoint. The controls are generally smaller and have been moved to the edges of the phone. Form over function. Sad times.

Tap the nowbar in a blank spot and it will fill give you a larger version.

I did figure that out before I msgd but doesn't solve the issue of it being that tiny pill at the bottom of the screen. To explain, I like the large option because I work in a mechanic shop and like to avoid handling my phone as much as possible. With a quick tap with my elbow I can change music easy. That and when I'm not working, I don't like having to open a new menu when it was never needed before

This is awful, it's so careless for driving and working. It's old placement of being at the top and bigger was nice. You could seek without having to do a lot of clicking.
