How important are camera lens protectors?

 Hello, everyone. I just purchased a Galaxy S23 ultra, and am wondering how much photograph clarity is affected by the use of lens protectors? I love this phone, and want to keep it as pristine as possible, but don't want to degrade the clarity of the fantastic photography capabilities this phone offers. Anyone have any suggestions?

When they are first applied, likely very little or no distortion/degradation is visible. Over time, however, the materials the lens protectors are made of can become scratched, dirty, or dull looking. This can have a deleterious effect on the quality of images. I've owned every top-tier flagship Galaxy phone since the S8 line, and I've personally never used camera lens protectors.

No worries! 🙂 I definitely understand the logic behind wanting to use them, but I've never been expressly placed in any situation where they could have actually proven useful lol.

I bought em. Then replace them as needed. They are worth it.

If they work for you, go for it! 🙂 Another reasonable alternative is to purchase a case that has a sliding/locking "door" for the camera module.

Look. I'm in construction. Dust and debris will DESTROY my phone. I have a screen protector, camera protector, and a waterproof case to prevent any scratches. And even with that case I still get scratches (as on the weekends I take it out)

Scratches are inevitable. So giving a surface other than the screen and or camera lenses to be scratched is preferable

I totally agree, especially with your line of work, you need the added protection the lens covers etc. provide!

I don't even have a foldable lol. I'm waiting for the crease to be eliminated. 😉
