Screen is fine whenever I restart my phone but once I press the power off button my screen will not respond on home screen. I never had issues before this update and Samsung's support team is dumbfounded.

When you contacted Samsung, were you put in touch with tech support or just customer support?

You may want to consider having the phone diagnosed at a service center. Here's how you can find one close to you:

You wouldn't have been able to put off the update forever. Just because this started occurring after the update doesn't necessarily mean it was caused by the update. It could be a hardware issue that would've manifested sooner or later, which is why it should be examined by service techs.
