One UI 7 Notifications too small

I just did the upgrade and now my notifications have moved from the middle to the top left and are incredibly too small to read. I know this topic has come up many times. It's been suggested to go into settings and use the Cards function. My s23 Ultra does not have a cards function.  How do you move notifications to the middle on the always-on display.

The cards function is for the lock screen

To get cards on the lockscreen, go to Settings, Notifications, Lock screen notifications.

I don't seem to have cards under lock screen notifications. It's just on or off. That's it.

No. Just on/off.

Something's not right. Do you think the update completed properly? Did you reboot at any point after the update? Did you clear device cache?

I just realized your screenshot shows a toggle for AOD notifications under the heading of lockscreen notifications. That's ... really weird.
