Is there any word on whether or not this will ever be supported? I have a vertical LG monitor and being able to use DeX on my S23 ultra would allow me to replace my laptop and desktop with just this device.

Agreed. Vertical Dex is useful, not only on mobile phones but also on galaxy tabs. I have a tab s7+ and will soon upgrade to s9 ultra and given the 16:10 ratio, a vertical Dex is super helpful
