I have S23 Ultra and after the recent android 15 update, my rington keeps playing at full volume even after I pick up call and it keeps playing. I tried to clear cache, restart phone numerous time but anytime a calls comes in and I pick up, I can still hear the sound. The only solution I have found is to kepe it i. vibrate mode.

Please help, this is getting very annoying and I cannot keep my phone on vibrate always.

Are you saying that even after you answer a call the ringtone does not stop? Have you tried changing the ringtone to see if it fixes it?

If you already cleared the cache and that did not help, you may have to do a full factory reset. Just make sure you do a complete Smart Switch backup if your personal data before you do.

You should put in an error report.

Hi I have tried changing the rington and and all other possiboe solutions but it is not working. I am specifically facing this issue with whatsapp so I am now not sure if it is a phone issue or whatsapp issue. Thank you for your help though.

If this is only happening with WhatsApp, try going to the app settings and deleting both the cache and data for the app.  Deleting the data will only delete customizations made to the settings and you will have to set them up again.  You will also have to re-login in to the app (if the app has a login).  See if that solves the issue.  If it does not, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the app (although clearing the data does essentially the same thing, there may be other hooks into the system the app has that only uninstalling will help).

Sounds like you have turned on notification for on going call. Once you've answered a call, pull down on the status bar, the in call notification hold and edit it's actions or make it silent. End call then receive call to see if it resolved the issue.
I once had this issue with Facebook messenger calls where id answer but the sound would keep going. Turned out to be the in call notification sound was on and set to my ringtone. Once I set that to silent, calls worked as normal. šŸ––šŸ»

Hi I tried this but it is not working, normal phone call is fixed but with whatsapp calls especially video calls I am facing this issue.

If I turn off the notif to silent while on call the whatsapp call gets disconnected. I am so clueless what is actually happening.

Okay, lol now i know what you have going on. Im at work so i cant help right now but I'll hop on later today. I can tell you there are 2 settings to look at and one is sorta hidden the other is in your whats app settings. The hidden settings has to do with notifications in special access but i dont remember the setting exactly right off. If you figure it out great if not when I get home I will go through my notes and reply.

Goto settings, apps, special access. Scroll down to full screen alerts, toggle on WhatsApp. Go back and click appear on top and toggle off WhatsApp. Go back to apps find Meet, clear its cache, find WhatsApp clear its cache, reboot. check for whatsapp update. Test.
If you get a call, full screen notification will appear, if there is another notification, smaller in the notification bar, hold it then turn that off, retest. šŸ––šŸ»
