I was able to use Smart Switch to transfer from my old Samsung. Several text threads are mixed up. A friend thread has my mom's contact listed. An auto-reminder looks like it came from a friend. I searched for a message with a name I knew would be only on one person's text history, and when it opened it said it was with someone else.
HELP! It's making me crazy. I have the same issues if I use Samsung messenger or Google messenger.
I have a related issue. After I switch phones Smart switch (it seems) reassigns all my personalized notification tones and each of my favorite contacts has the wrong tone. They're all mixed up and I have to go reassign them. It doesn't just assign everyone the default tone, it takes actual, intentionally assigned tones for my friend Mark for example and assigns his to my friend Beth, and Beth's to my friend Joe etc. Every time.
