Greetings.
My S22 ultra charging port failed at 13 months. I just decided to trade it in on an S23 Ultra for a little extra expense and a new warranty. It's a black 256 GB in perfect condition purchased in July. The phone is so much more than I need. A little picture taking, checking email. Simple stuff. I see they're going for about 800.00. Is there a good phone for about 300.00 that will fill my needs?
Thanks for any input.

Why would you upgrade to a flagship if all you need is a mid phone for basic things? Kinda confusing.

I was in the Samsung upgrade loop. They wanted about $150 to fix my S22Ultra. It cost about $200 to upgrade to the S23 Ultra with a new warranty.

My S22 is just perfect. I don't haveto carry a camera all day. However you might check out the A23-A52-A53. I use the 52 the chip-set acts like S21-Ultra all day. Irs a perfect size

I use the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Great phone still. I see all these people having problems with their devices. It makes me wonder what they're doing because I've had this since it came out and haven't had one single issue with it. People just abuse their device then act all shocked when it doesn't work properly. Drrr much lol.

Amazingly, I had the same charging port issue on S22 Ultra 256 GB. The phone was not fast charging. I got it fixed for free from Ufix it guys, just 2 days before warranty expiration. I do not recommend upgrading to S23. Nothing you will miss. Moreover, the memory in s23 is 8 GB, instead of 12 GB in S22. So it's a downgrade.
