This is ridiculous. Every time I take a selfie it turns out normal for 2 seconds and I watch the post processing distort my face. This issue is everywhere on reddit too.

Try to reset your Camera app , go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data.

That's been done dozen of times. It doesn't work. And before you ask , yes the beauty enhancements are off

@LiaMichelle @Mothman187 Do you have all your face "beauty" enhancement settings and any Auto-HDR settings toggled off?

@VerbumVeritum yes I do. It changes it either way (with or without beauty enhancements). The warping happens post processing. I can literally take a picture and it will appear normal for about 1 or 2 seconds and then it squashes my face like it's in a fun house mirror. There's a screen recording of it happening to another owner on reddit so I know this is a common problem . The distortion on my photos is so bad it makes them absolutely unusable.

I'm having the same exact issue. I'm ready to throw this phone straight in the trash. Super disappointed in the performance and the customer service in trying to get this resolved. ๐Ÿ˜‘ No, I don't want to send in my phone for a service repair that will not fix the issue.

@LiaMichelle Samsung just told me to wait for an update. The update came and went and the issue persists

Hey, LaciDay. Thanks for sharing your concern with us and bringing attention to this matter with your camera. Some great troubleshooting tips have already been advised, but have you also tried turning off the Tracking Auto-focus? It is possible this feature could be altering the quality of the image. I would also recommend testing out your phone in Safe-Mode as well. You can try using Safe mode to determine if recently installed apps are causing an issue with your camera's focus.

Press and hold the Power key and Side key. On phones without a dedicated Power key, you can swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick settings, and then tap the Power icon. Touch and hold the Power off icon, and then tap Safe mode when it appears.

Your phone will restart, and โ€œSafe modeโ€ will be displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen. Check your camera's focus and remove any recently installed apps if needed. Restart your phone to exit Safe mode.

If the symptom persists, a service repair may be the solution for this concern. If you have any further questions for us or would like for us to set up the service repair for you. You can send us a direct message by using the link below. Thank you!
