Samsung email app unable to view in-line messages when using reply, reply all, or forward

When using the Samsung email application to "reply,", "reply all," or "forward" a new email, the application does not allow me to scroll down and view the original email or email stream to which the response is being directed. When scrolling down to see the original email(s) the screen will not hold and simply jumps back up to the new email response.  

Up until last night (November 20, 2025) it did allow this.  So, you could begin your response, scroll down and review the original email(s), notice something else you would like to add to your response, and iterate this process to get your new mail complete and responding to all germane content in the original email(s).

I did: power the device off/on, clear the cache, uninstall the app, reinstall the app, and contact Samsung support who took control of my phone and verified this behavior - however this was the first time the person had heard of this so no solution available at this time.

Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?

My S24 Plus has started the same behavior in the last day or so

Yep... same thing just started happening to my S10 phone. It worked fine a week ago. It's too old for updates so something is wrong in the core program. I was just reading about the same complaint on the eu.samsung community site. They reported Samsung is aware of the problem but offered no fix. So very frustrating! C'mon, Samsung! This is ridiculous!

My S23 is doing the same thing.

Same problem with my Tab A9+. Uninstalling Android Webview update and clearing cache and data helped as described here https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s23-series/email-scroll-lock/m-p/13463765#M54745, but if I insert a photo into email I'm composing, now I can't scroll up and down to the rest of the message unless I tap the picture and resize it with its corners. But that's just temporary to let me move the cursor.

I followed the instructions as in the European forum and it worked for one email, and now the problem is back. Very unhelpful, especially for a flagship device (S23 Ultra)

I also have this same issue on my S25 Ultra. It started around Nov 20th. Also, even if I type new messages, once the text goes below the keyboard, I can no longer scroll back to the top of the message while the keyboard is still out. So, I have to close the keyboard to get to the top text, and to see Subject, To, and From.

I have the same issue with my S23 Ultra. 

I thought it was because I had refused to install the latest update until researching its AI privacy and security issues, but then noticed that certain AI functionality had already installed itself without my knowledge. 

Samsung, fix this issue!

I am having the same issue with my Samsung S24 Ultra phone. It's very frustrating not to be able to scroll to up or down a message. It was not like this before. Please fix.
