This hasn't occurred before the UI 7 update, but since the update has happened, there's a bar of static on the top of my screen that flickers whenever I get a notification when my screen is on but on the lock screen, or when I opened the camera app, its there and its a purple color and it remains there until, I close out of the app and go back in, and it's gone. It also did the same thing too when I was on my lockscreen before unlocking my phone, and then I tapped and hold my screen to access my wallpaper by unlocking my phone and there's a brief moment until it displayed the wallpaper settings and it did the flicker thing again.

Has anyone else experienced this too, or is it just me? I never dropped my phone hardly at all or do anything to damage it, and I'm beginning to wonder if its OS software issue and its unstable with my device. Even when I swipe down while im in my notifications and plug my phone in and swipe out of it, and everything including time, notifications, and everything else is gone for a few seconds as if it's doing that charging animation, and then everything appears again. Apparently this OS software was possibly rushed and has a lot of issues.

Tldr; bar of static flickering ontop of my screen sometimes depending on whats going on (started happening after updating to UI 7)

Hello Drewz, Thank you for being part of the Community. We understand the concern with the screen flickering.

Here is a link with some troubleshooting steps (be sure to check all 7 checkpoints): https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10004671/

You can run the diagnostics in the Members app, under the Support tab. This will test the hardware on the phone.

If the screen continues flickering, or the diagnostics tests fail, it is recommended to have the phone evaluated by an authorized service center.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
