Galaxy S23Go to Settings>Notifications>Advanced settings>Floating notifications. Toggle them off. Also, make sure Bubbles are turned off in the Google Messages app's Settings.

Galaxy S23Awesome! Glad that fix it! The lock screen doesn't turn on with notifications now? Settings>Apps>three dots top right>Special access>go to bottom "Turn screen on">ensure the app(s) have the proper permissions toggled on.
