The last update ruined the functionality of my phone. Anyone else having issues? I've seen some ppl on reddit but no solution. Tec support just said the update can't be reversed.

@lottieree If you detail the items that are of concern, someone can propose a solution.

@userEldi0d61zF Did you wipe the device cache partition after the update? I recommend that you do this after every device update. It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information which might be incompatible after the update. It does not erase any user data nor applications.

To wipe the device cache partition:

1. Power off your device.
2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears.
3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
5. Click the side key to select it.
6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes.
7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously.
8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"

After updating to OUI 7, my battery has started to drain very quickly. In the past, I only needed to charge my phone once a day, but now I'm having to charge it twice or more. When I check which apps are using my battery, they only account for 40% of the usage. So, where is the other 60% going?

Sometimes my phone powers off by itself, and when I turn it back on, I find that there is only half of the battery remaining. Last night, my phone had 80% battery, and this morning it was down to 40%. Why is this happening?

Has anyone else experienced similar problems? How can I fix this?

I updated to the onei8 and it significantly tanked my battery life. I used to go to work at 8am with 100% and return home at 9pm with a 10%~ charge, now I can't even go after 5pm with more than 5%.

The SS below will show how quickly the battery is dropping.

It was Columbus day so I decided to go out at 11.40 with 52% charge. Came home at 4 and the battery was at 1%. All I did was browse google and some Instagram. This is appalling.

Planned obsolescence. I don't believe for one second Samsung didnt know this would happen. They already have a track record of doing it once before. The last update to my S21 Ultra decimated performance and battery life and forced me to have to upgrade to an s25. Super shady company.

Do you know how to revert back to oneUI7? That update did a hit on the battery and started the light bleeding on the back cameras. I hate that Chinese phones aren't big in the US.
