Getting a little tired of not recognizing my notifications. The point of learning to recognize a sound is completely defeated by a couple of the recent updates. new update: we are doing away with registration. Great, no one cares. Now I have to go and reapply my notifications. Thanks for the security update I feel safe now.
You're not alone!! I used to have a different sound set for different apps. Ex. Text message sound was option 1, Facebook messenger sound was option 2, emails had sound option 3, etc. I can't do that as much now. There's still some customized options, is just not as specific.
I found out in here how to solve that a while back after that one update. Go to Notifications in your settings and then advanced settings and towards the bottom you'll be able to turn on manage notification categories for each app. Then when you long press any one of your apps, hit the i at the top right and it'll be back to the way it was. You'll be able to designate notifications for each
