I've gone from the S21 to the S22 and now to the S23 (all Ultra). The 21 and 22 were used on AT&T and the 23 is currently being used on Verizon.

All three phones have the same issue - visual voicemail does not work! Messages fail to come into the visual voicemail app. On the S23, I don't get a notification nor do I see the message in the visual voicemail app until I refresh it.

This is not how this should work. All week I've been on the phone with Verizon trying to get a resolution..I feel it's too much of a coincidence for the same issue on three galaxy phones and two providers. I've tried contacting Samsung but get referred to the carrier. Neither Samsung or the carrier are taking ownership of this issue and fixing it.

Something has to be done about this. I worked with AT&T for over a year on visual voicemail issues doing troubleshooting and no resolution was found. Visual voicemail worked just fine on the 21 until around November 2021.

I upgraded to the 22 to troubleshoot the phone being a problem. I switched to the 23 and elected to get a new phone with Verizon to test the carrier. Now it's obvious neither has made a difference.

What's next? The iPhone!???!

All phones were obtained directly from the carrier so I guess that means they are carrier locked.

All you have to do is go on the att app and reset the voicemail and it will be back up and running. I have the s21 and then it broke and I paid you get it fixed and they didn't have any s21 In stock so I got the s22 ultra and I had that issue on my phone also att. So I'm sure Verizon is probably the same thing. Contact Verizon support and see if they can reset it.

I'm no longer with AT&T but just before I left them, I cleared the data on the voicemail app. It cleared out existing messages and downloaded the ones that didn't go into visual voicemail. Everything was fine for just under two weeks and then it stopped working again. In Verizon, it hasn't worked properly since day 1. Their "fix" lasts for a matter of hours and then I have to manually refresh the voicemail app to get messages. On a related note, is there supposed to be a voicemail icon in the dialer on the S23? There was one on the S22

All notification categories are on and all data categories are on. Depending on who I talk to at Verizon, they claim my voicemail isn't setup in their end. I don't have a personal getting but rather the default of "you have reached the voicemail of"phone number" please leave a message after the tone. Like I've said, this just seems too much of a coincidence for the same issue across three galaxy phones and two carriers. Something else like a Samsung issue has to be at the root cause of this
