Hello Samsung Community.

I have a somewhat vexxing problem with camera in my Samsung Galaxy S23 phone.
For some time now, I have wondered why there is no way to use the light that comes with my phone, as 'flash', when I use the phone's camera to take photos.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong,
and provide instruction on how I can use the phone's light, as a flash to take photos.

Thanking you, in advance.

Respectfully...

@WalterD You can easily use the flash. Open the Camera app. In the upper left you will see a lightning bolt icon. Click on it. It will give you the choice of no flash, automatic flash, or always flash. If you select automatic flash, the camera will decide when flash is appropriate and use it.

With the advanced night mode, flash is often not needed.

If you are taking photos with ultra wide lens, you also can't turn on flash.
