Phone:  Samsung Galaxy S23

Conditions:  Issues occurred immediately after the S23 Software Update S911USQU6DYD9  (to Android 15 and One UI 7.0) which was applied to my phone on 04/29/2025.

Issues:

1.  Netgear Orbi Android App no longer able to connect to my Netgear Orbi router as administrator  I use this app on a daily basis and it worked without difficulty until this latest S23 Software update.  The wifi router itself is working fine and I can logon to the router as administrator via wifi from my laptop.  The Netgear Orbi app error message suggested that I turn off cell data while using this app.  I did that with no effect.

2.  Garden Pro E6 Trail Camera Android App no longer able to connect to the trail camera.  The connection is made via WiFi.  I use this app on a daily basis and it worked without difficulty until the S23 Software update.

I've had a series of different Samsung Galaxy phones and this is my first problem.  Anyone else having similar issues?

Samsung/Android Software update bugs once in a while cause widespread issues for some users.

I guessed that two S23 wifi issues that I noticed immediately after the April 2025 S 23 Software update were the result of a possible bug in that update.  Of course it is often the case that issues that are not related by a common cause nonetheless cluster.  In my case Web searches showed no other S23 users were having the same or similar issues.  I posted my issues on the Samsung community forum just to be sure no other users were having a similar problem and quickly eliminated the S23 Software update as the cause.

After taking a closer look at my two problems I determined that my trail cam had a hardware problem requiring the camera's replacement and my Netgear Orbi Android App needed a settings change.  Though the MAC address randomization on the S23 may have been a contributing factor.  This issue is solved.

All of your problems seem to be app based. I would contact the app developers via the Playstore on their app listing in the contact developer. They are the ones who are best able to solve your problems.

The fact that an android app stopped working as designed immediately after a recent S23 software update hardly eliminates the S23 software update as the source of the problem.  That is,  a bug in the S23 software update wouldn't necessarily be the problem for the android app developer.

However, this is besides the point.  .  .  .The point of my community posting was not to blame my issue on the S23 software update, but to eliminate "me" as the source of the problem.  If no one else has experienced a similar problem with their home router's android app after the S23 software update  then my problem is unique to me.  And I've got to look to my phone (or router) settings as the potential source.

The chances of someone else having the same exact problem as you, is slim. Contacting the app developers is usually the best course of action.

Have you cleared the cache in the problematic apps?

Have you performed a wipe cache partition after installing Ui7?
It is crucial to do this after each and every software update.

As you suggested I cleared the cache on my Netgear router android app and wiped the S23 cache partition.  I've owned Samsung Galaxy models since 2017 and I've never had to do either of these operations.

In any event clearing the app cache and wiping the partition on the S23 had no effect, the Netgear Orbi App still can't find my router.

Except I'm now having the same issues. My wifi chip isn't even working in my Galaxy Fold 3 after the One UI 7 update. This update sucks. I hate how it looks like iPhone UI. I hate how it overheats now. Now my battery drains faster. This update is terrible and the programmers who designed this should feel bad.

I determined that my wifi issues were NOT related to the April 2025  S23 Software Update.

However, since 04/29/2025 when the Galaxy S23 software update was applied to my phone I've also noticed an increased battery drain.  Prior to the software update  I'd often get 3 days before needing a charge.  Now its often less than 2.  I charge up to 100%  and usually recharge at 15%.

you're not the only one.  happening to me too.  I have TMobile as a carrier.  I've been to 2 TMobile stores besides a long customer support phone call.  None have been able to figure this out.  Ultimately they said "Buy a new phone."
