App search disabled while screen open

I loved how Gallaxy S24 ultra enabled easy swipe down search of any app any time. Now it is swipe up...fine...but it does not work when any other app is open. It makes my phone non functional in any scenario where I want multiple screens and can't find the apps. 

Honestly there is nothing I like about the update. This phone is greatly devalued and so is my opinion and likelihood of buying another Galaxy...and I have been Samsung since S6.

You can turn this on using Home Up inside of the Good Lock app.

Here's how to get there:
Open Good Lock (download from Galaxy Store if not already installed) > Home Up (download if not already installed) > Home Screen > Finder Access > Turn on and Apply

There are various apps within the Good Lock Suite. NavStar and QuickStar are particularly useful.
