The latest update has changed the format of the battery remaining icon.  I CANNOT read it anymore   How do I give feedback to see if it can be changed back?  Is there a way to change it myself?

it used to be just a number on the standard background.  Now it is the number encircled with a white background (or black, depending on the site I am on)

The only way I can see my battery remaining is to screenshot my screen and then blow up the image to read the number.

I have the S24 Ultra

1.  Open the Members app click support at the bottom and submit feedback.

2.  Sorry but the battery icon can’t be changed it’s suggested to add a battery widget to your Home Screen if you can’t read it.

I find it difficult to understand how someone in Samsung thought this change was a good idea.  I just installed a software update today, and suddenly found that even with my glasses on I cannot read the % charge at a glance. Ergonomically it makes no sense to  have the two digits each on a different colour background.

For me the bigger problem is having the first digit on a white background but the second digit on a grey background....

Update:  I have just realised that if at 100% charge, the icon is white,  as the battery level drops the grey shading moves across from the right.  So as your battery charge drops, the number become progressively more difficult to read!!! Brilliance from  Samsung!

Go to Accessibility > Vision enhancements > Magnification (do not confuse this with Magnifier - that's a different feature).

Under Magnification shortcut, select Triple Tap. (You can pick more than one)

Under Magnification type, choose whether you want the whole screen to be magnified or just part of it.

You can now magnify your screen by triple tapping. Turn it off by triple tapping again.

Be aware that if you do activities that require a lot of tapping, like games or typing, the magnification may trigger accidentally and you might want to try one of the volume button shortcuts.

I've been using this feature for years due to my bad eyesight. I hope you find it useful.

I agree. It's not a good permanent change on our phones. I have a hard time seeing that as well. The old style was perfectly fine for me and preferred it to this terrible new one

@vrogers What I did is add a battery widget to the home page. It allows me to easily read the battery percentage.
