I recently changed my notification settings in my Samsung calendar to 'strong.' I then started missing appointments and realized I was not getting any notifications. After a stupid long time of playing with things and not being able to figure it out, I switched it back to medium strength notifications. When I did that I realized that the sound had defaulted to silent. I turned notifications sounds back on and started getting alerts again. It seems like the bug is in the strong notification setting. I saw there were several others online that had this issue and thought I would share. Hope this helps someone.

You can change the sound on any notification category. So, if you want strong notifications, make sure the notification category is set for alert, not silent and pick a sound.

Im sure that's what is *supposed* to happen, but it doesn't. At least on my phone. But there's enough complaints about it on line that I don't think Im alone.

Put in an error report. It won't be noted or fixed by posting here.

Go to the support tab of the members app and look for the feedback link. However, in lokking at my settings (I don't use Samsung calendar, I use Google) for Samsung calendar, I see that when I tap on the "medium" alert it's on silent, but I have been able to easily change the sound. Selecting "strong" shows the sound as synth bell, which I assume is the default, as I never set it, but I was easily able to change the sound. Before you put in your error report, try clearing the data from the apps storage settings. This will reset the app without affecting anything on your calendar. You will have to reconfigure your app settings, though
