Constant restarts

My S24 has been randomly restarting for months now. None of the software updates have made it better and it seems to be getting worse lately. I've read through a bunch of recommendations with the most common being booting to safe mode which is really kind of ridiculous. Since it's a random occurrence, I don't know when to expect it so I'd just have to leave it in safe mode forever. What I want to know is what caused the reset. It's basically a computer so there should be an error log that tells exactly what triggered the restart but either Samsung or Verizon make it impossible to access that log. Does anyone know how to get to this log?

Hello, ehuddle, Welcome to the Community. Having a phone that's rebooting constantly is frustrating, and we don't want you to have that experience with your S24.

 

Please check out this information below. It shows you how to get to the bottom of what's causing the phone to reboot.

Some of the things covered are checking for updates, booting the phone into safe mode to identify if any apps are causing the problem.

 

The guide also provides steps on resetting the phone - please make sure you have your Samsung account password, lock screen password, and that you back up any data you want to save Before proceeding with that step.

 

If all the steps in the guide do not correct the issue, service would be needed.  Please feel free to follow the link in the guide. So does it happen when your battery reaches a certain % also what OS are you on and are you on the beta my freind has this same issue and we dont know why eaither if you ever figure it out please tell me

It's random so I've never noticed a battery level. It happens a lot overnight on the charger. I'm still paying for this thing so it's whatever OS that it came with. It's not any type of beta.

So there's no way to check the error log? I don't want to have to factory reset my phone because an app is acting goofy.

I have also had a issue with my 24+, cleared up cache, safe mode, and final step which I DID NOT want to do was reset......did the reset..... thought it fixed issue......only slowed it......it has continued and as the OP has stated it's so random.....sometimes I'm multitasking, sometimes I'm not doing much of anything and the thing freezes and boom restart.....I do notice some times at night the phone when into a restart over night.....no rhyme or reason.....for me this has been. Close to 4-5 months......if I wasn't so into ecosystem this thing would be gone
