Delay when turning phone off

I've noticed since updating, turning off the phone ( pressing the power button not fully turning off the device) takes slightly longer for the action to actually happen than before. Why is that?

Holding the button longer to get power screen or turning off takes longer

No I mean pressing it once not holding it down, I noticed it takes longer like if there's another feature or something that also uses it and so it feels like it's waiting to see if thats what's intended to be used or just a short press

Since the update, I've noticed a slight delay when pressing everything. It's not significant, but it's definitely more sluggish than 6.1.

Yea that's what I feel with the button. It's like on iPhone where the double press does something so it would take slightly longer to allow for the user to do the double press
