Very disappointing that s24 ultra was ignored for one ui 8.5 beta. One ui animation fluidity lags behind every other android skins like oxygen os. May move back to ios if this lethargy continues.

Then you better get the s26 soon because 8.5 for the s24 won't be available as soon as its released. But okay move to iOS then, no need to threaten lol ๐Ÿ˜›

I have the S24+. All S24s have been ignored.

But so what?

I can't say that I've had such issues on my phone. It's perfectly fine. Smooth as ever.

Maybe it's something specific to your phone. An app, or settings you haven't optimized.

Also, how can it be "delayed" when no hard release date was ever given in the first place.

I think it was suggested to be out anytime from February to April. Last I checked, we're still in February.

That kind of reply is what's holding Samsung back.

Really?

You think Samsung is paying any attention to anything I'm saying? Or even what you're saying?

They have their own schedule. You decided for yourself how to interpret it and made up your own deadline. There never was one.

They may release a beta to the S24 series eventually, but based on past betas, it'll be real late in the beta process, and usually around the time of the next phone's release. Maybe in March. But that's still a guess, not a hard date... because there isn't one.

And honestly, my life doesn't revolve around these updates hitting some imaginary deadline. My phone is still working. Would it be nice to get the new OS update? Sure. But it will come eventually. I'd prefer they get it right instead of rushing it.

Because you know the inevitable response once it does come out "oh my god, this update changed everything - I hate it", "this update bricked my phone, don't update", " update messed everything up"... and you know it's gonna happen.

I've got more important things in my life to worry about. If I had problems with the phone, I'd figure out how to fix it first. An update alone doesn't magically resolve existing issues if it's, let's say, an app conflict, and not an actual OS issue itself. As for animation "fluidity", that's a rather nebulous thing that could be anything, and not something an OS update would solve. It might even make it worse.
