This is the dumbest reponse from a support team ever. I sent feedback about a feature request. What they responded means either this is responded by AI or the person just copy pasted predefined response without proper knowledge of the original post.

Ok, so, the trash or unified trash option is fine. But isn't it that we need an option to enable/disable it. And trash should be behind a lock, not open for all.

I think that it might have been clearer if you had started your submission with something about a feature request.

I'm guessing that those reports get translated into other languages and your intent might not have been clear.

Open for all?  Are you in the habit of letting others root around in your phone?  If your phone is locked, no one can get into the trash.  Why would you even want to disable trash, sometimes people delete stuff they later realize they need.  If people are that paranoid about their trash, they should just empty the trash every time they delete something.

The 11 likes in your reply means there is no point in continuing the conversation.

In Microsoft Windows, you have the option to send files either to trash or permanently delete. Even when deleting, you can bypass trash.

In Mac OS, the same, you can bypass trash when deleting files.

In IOS, the trash is locked and requires screen lock to enter the trash.

I can understand people may look for deleted files in trash if they accidentally delete. You must also understand that some people want the deleted files gone, forever.

I think most people wouldn't want to disable their trash bin! Because anything you delete would be gone for good unless for pics you have backup enabled. Personally, I think that would be a terrible option to have on a device.

Though I'm not here to discuss the trash option here. I'm done with that already in this forum.

People here believe that this option is unnecessary and they want to keep their files in trash because they may want to get it back later and for them, deleting permanently is a terrible option.

If most people believe that the moonlight is it's own, doesn't change the fact that the moonlight is just the reflection of sunlight. Most people's belief doesn't make a wrong thing right. What is wrong, is wrong.
