Galaxy S24Hello Community Members. We understand the frustrations caused by the battery drain on your phones and have found a solution. This is occurring on T-Mobile phones because of the mobile services app. In order to remove the application, first open Settings, then open Apps, press the filter and sort icon to the right of Apps. Then turn on Show System Apps and search Mobile Services. Select the three dots to the right of mobile services, and then select Uninstall updates. You will need to select OK. After you have selected OK make sure to check the version it should be downgraded.
This will get you back up and running. If not, donโt hesitate to reach out to us once again! Thank you for being a Samsung customer.
Be sure to click " โ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you.
Please note, notification emails are a DO NOT REPLY address, you must log-in on the community page in order to respond.

Galaxy S24For months I have been struggling with this issue where the phone gets really hot and more important most of the apps that reference contacts run horribly or causing me allot of grief.
Imagine you start your day and want to use the phone to make a call you open your contacts and they dont show up and that can take up to 10 minutes sometimes. I end up memorizing some of the numbers I needed urgently so I can make the calls but the phone app gets stuck trying to access the contacts freezing the phone. Even when I get a call sometimes the screen wont come up because its trying to access the contacts to tell me who it is and I loose the call as I dont get a chance to answer it.
Before noon my batter is already drained and have to keep charging the phone to make it thru the day.
Bottom line I have a few accounts that I do sync, and I endup moving all my 1200 contacts to my google mail account hopping I can fix the issue but still no luck.
I done all the software updates, cache clears etc but made no difference. Back in December I end up wiping the phone and took me 2 days to setup as I am very organized and have folders with all my apps and had to re authenticate my many apps to banks, services, bills etc and sadly a few weeks later the problem appeared again.
I now hear about the option to wipe the cache partition but since Feb samsung has removed this option so it looks that I am back to wiping the phone.
I have been owned a number of mobiles from Samsung (S4, Note8) but this has been nothing but a nightmare for me. The S24 I bought and use for a year and yes I am a complex user but this should not be the case. I do travel allot and I need to depend to my device working at all times.
Samsung you have a problem in your hands with this issue as you will loose allot of customer s if you don't pay attention to address. I am considering alternatives already because technology is a necessity now not a luxury.

Galaxy S24Approximately 2 weeks now i have be plagued with charging issues following a software update on April 04, 2026:
Update information
โขOne Ul version: 8.0
โข Android version: 16
โข Current version: S928BXXS5CZC1/ S928BOWO5CZC1/
S928BXXS5CZC1
โข Security patch level: 5 March 2026
I have tried multiple chargers, even bought a brand new 45W charger and the phone either:
- refuses entirely to charge
- charges at 15W speeds
A family member was forced to buy a new device when her phone completely stopped charging granted it was an older S21 Ultra device but this is unfair for an organisation to force consumers who have been long patronizing this franchise to upgrade.
- I have:
cleared cache and data on my USB Settings multiple times, - i have reset battery stats using the *#9900#
- toggled fast charging on an off
- invested in a new 45W charger
- purchased a wireless charger that i am waiting to collect
The S24 ultra line is merely 2 years old and I am pleading with developers to release a patch for this bug as soon as possible. Times are tough and some persons like myself do not have the leisure of simply buying a new device and to be honest if i try trading in my phone with this issue it will severely diminish the value of my device.
PLEASE RELEASE A PATCH FOR THIS BUG!!!

Galaxy S24Boot into Safe Mode: If the phone still runs hot, run the phone in Safe Mode (all third-party apps disabled). If the phone cools down and the battery stops draining, a third-party app is the culprit.
Re-calibrate the Battery: Since it is a new battery, run it down to 0% until the phone turns off, then charge it to 100% uninterrupted
