I got my galaxy s24 fe not too long ago and it's been finicky with charging where it'll say it's charging but won't gain percent until I restart my phone which is not something I want to do every night. Don't know if other people have the same issue or if there's a fix.

@Neoninked I would start by replacing the cable with a reputable quality cable. If that doesn't solve the issue, I would replace the charging adapter with a reputable quality charging adapter.

People buy inexpensive cables or adapters because they are cheap. Unfortunately the quality and reliability of these items can be very poor.

Also make sure battery saver isn't on. It stops charging at about 84% to protect the life of the battery.

It stopped charging at around 23%

Apparently the smart thing to do is to disable the battery-saving stuff completely.

That's the only time I've seen consistent charging to where it should go, 100%.

I have the Ultra and since the last update, it stops charging at 99% and says it's protecting the battery.

@ElySec88 Sounds like you have Battery protection enabled. You can find the setting in Device Care -> Battery -> Battery protection.

Thank you, LongHiker.  I checked that and it's set to Basic and says it will charge to 100%.  I never had an issue until this last update.  But, I guess 99% is better than nothing.

Same weird thing happens to my S24 FE. I have very high quality cable and charging adapter (Anker) and some nights it charges fine...others it will stop at random places. I never tried rebooting the phone to see if the battery percentage indicator moves to where it should be. Just very weird. I have never seen this behavior prior to this.
