Since the OneUI update hit on my phone a few months ago, my gallery app no longer automatically recognizes and sorts faces when "search" is launched. This was a great tool to find pictures of specific people (like your kids) and worked great on my old and cheap A-series Samsung phone.
What I have now is so ridiculous I have to share the screenshot. Under "People and Pets," my hot-shot S24+ has only identified cats and dogs in my gallery, plus a snowman (which it categorizes as a pet), and a generic baby. The latter actually returns results of several different babies.
I have tried all kinds of things, turning off power conservation, connecting to wifi, etc. Nothing works.
If anyone has figured this out I would love to know the solution.
