I have an S24 Ultra. Recently, some messages from my family group chat (containing android and iPhone users) have not been coming through. When I look at the individual conversations between me and the individual people whose messages are not coming through in the gc, there are a ton of loading circles with an X in the middle, indicating that there are messages not going through in a group chat. Does anyone else have this issue? I have tried clearing cache, updating, switching back and forth between messaging apps, restarting my phone. Nothing has worked
If it's an RCS group chat it's most likely because you're on different carriers. Are the other Android phones using Google Messages? Apple didnโt implement RCS the right way to make it play nice with Android, they made it so you'd want iMessage. Also Google Messages sometimes switches back and forth btw RCS and SMS and that icon is just telling you that a message was sent via MMS and you got the header(the subject line pretty much) but whatever needed to be downloaded was lost in transit.
