Galaxy S24OK, a few months back, we changed our WPA (which for some reason in my head I keep calling a whap or w.a.p.) from WPA 1 or 3 to 2. Now ever since then, my S24 Ultra REFUSES to stay connected to the house wifi system, and I've been trying to find out how in the world I fix that on my phone so that it accepts the WPA settings on my home wifi. I keep getting directed to creating a local wifi on my phone and that's NOT what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to get my phone stabilized on the WPA 2 on our home wifi. How in the world do I do that, and ANY solution that creates a wifi through my phone I will COMPLETELY ignore. I'm wanting to change the WPA settings on my phone to connect to our home wifi. When we're out and about, I switch to cell and turn off the wifi connection so I don't have to deal with open wifi at all. So, how do I connect my phone to the WPA 2 set up?

Galaxy S24First, delete or forget the network you already have set up. Then add your network as new. This is most likely what the message you are getting on your phone is telling you to do. When you set up the new network, you will see the following screen. Enter the network name, tap on the security section and choose the security method, then enter your network password. Make sure it connects. That's it. You cannot alter the security settings of an already configured network, just like in some apps you can't alter your credit card details, you have to delete the card and add a new one. I don't know what you mean by you will reject any suggestion of setting up wi-fi on your phone, because that's how you do it if you expect it to connect, and if you are going to ignore the proper advice, then you will never be able to connect. And nobody cares if you ignore their advice. Advice is given and a recipient of said advice chooses to ignore or follow it. We have no stake in the outcome.
