How can I get another video player that will play my mp4 video files to be my default Galaxy S24+?

How do I get another video player to be default on my S24+, or is it possible? Samsung's video player will not play my mp4 video files from my Reolink Cameras. Keep getting message not compatible with codec. Other video players work, but not Samsung's. I've got a feeling that because it's embedded, it might not be possible.

    Click On The New Video Player  >
•  Choose Always.

That only works if the mp4 is on the phone. These files are on a NAS box. Samsung must have changed something in their video player.

How did you delete the embedded samsung video player, because that is the default in android 14 on a Galaxy S24+.
