Galaxy S24Hi!
I admit: There is another thread that covers the same problem. And it was already marked as "solved" and thus got closed. :warning: But the selected "solution" is not a solution, but a crappy workaround for what should be solved by Samsung.
Hence, this thread here aims to bring this issue up again, in hope for a true solution.
The problem: There should be an option to deactivate or significantly "dial back" the automatic but way too extreme AI camera/photo optimization ā at least for all photos, ideally also temporarily.
But: turning off "Quality Optimization" and "Scene Optimization" doesn't change a thing.
(See Dropbox link below. All of those pictures have a different setting (I don't remember anymore which has which), but they all look the same.)
Samsung, why?

Galaxy S24Howdy, Zay! That's exactly what I did. But it doesn't make any difference.
In a nutshell, the following buttons don't work. They don't make any difference.
ā
See also the referred thread: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S24/How-can-I-disable-the-AI-camera-optimizer-S24-Ultra/m...
There, you can see that others have the same problem.

Galaxy S24They have completely ruined the Galaxy experience.
I upgraded from the S3 to the S7, then the S9, and finally to the S24 Ultra.
But this will be my last Galaxy device. Android used to be all about user control, and they've taken that away in the name of AI.
All the pictures I take turn out poorly. I work in electronics and frequently need to capture images of various components and assemblies. The camera optimization alters colors, adds unwanted shadows, and changes lighting, making the products look entirely different.
The software is frustrating. I still miss my S9+, which had much better image quality than this so-called Ultra model.
Why Pro mode is also with optimization, why expert Raw is with optimization !

Galaxy S24Ok, thanks!
I'm not sure if this should give me hope... or the opposite, as for most people it does seem to work as intended and thus Samsung might not care enough.
Let's hope Samsung cares!
It's really frustrating. I'm thinking of giving the phone back (I just bought it a few days ago) and switching to another brand altogether ā after 7 years of using and promoting Samsung Galaxy.
