Is Gboard just better?

I want to love the default Samsung Keyboard on my S24, but Gboard still feels significantly more accurate and responsive for daily use. Am I the only one who installs Gboard the second they get a new Galaxy?

Typing on the Samsung Keyboard feels like walking through quicksand; the longer I type, the heavier it feels. I genuinely love the AI features for tone correction and proofreading, but I wish Samsung would prioritize the fundamentals. Considering how vital typing is to the smartphone experience, it feels like most companies—Samsung and Apple included—are failing to perfect the basics.

You don't have to learn to love the Samsung keyboard if you just don't like it.  You can, and should, use any keyboard you like. GBoard is superior to Samsung in every way.

I've always used Gboard instead of the default Samsung keyboard, the default keyboard is super confusing especially when you wanna find stuff like emojis.

I agree! I switch back every now and then just to see and after a while, I can't stand it. I have to install GBoard on every Samsung.

I do the same thing. Every now and then, I check Samsung Keyboard, just to see if there are any new features, and I'm disappointed every time.

Installing Gboard is the very first thing I do.

Gboard is the gold standard, with MS Swiftkey in second place. There is no third place. Samsung Keyboard has awful accuracy and correction.
