I upgraded to the one UI 7 and now I can't no longer swipe from the bottom to activate Gemini. I have to hold down the power button,

It's just easier swiping from the bottom of the screen for me

I made the exact same post cause I'm also fed up. And also, to actually power down my phone, I have to also press volume down along with power. IT'S CALLED THE POWER BUTTON FOR A REASON

Sure you can. It is an app. You can add it to the Edge panel if you need quick access.

Another way to power down is to swipe down from the right side of the screen and then click the power icon.

It very much less convenient. These features shouldn't be remove anyways. Should have been improve on like being able to change what swiping the bottom would up. Like it can be another Ai or to quickly open apps

It's very annoying, but this was also the case when I first got the phone with One Ui 6 on it.

You can change the button by going to Settings>Advanced Features>Side button

You might want to take this up with Google. I don't think Samsung had a choice on this.

If you don't want it on the power button then you have the option to activate it by saying "Hey Google" or "OK Google" by turning this on in Google.

If you don't want to use voice command you can put the Gemini app on your home screen tap on it to open it and tap the microphone button in the "ask Gemini" text box.
