I have an issue with notifications from some apps not showing their pop ups like they are supposed to (including the app icon in the task bar and the lock screen). Even though I have the s24+ configured all the same as the s21+ I have (notifications all turned on both in the app itself if possible and on the phone software itself and have all set to show details. Everything works perfect on my s21+ though), something is up with the notification behavior. Like the apps themselves receive stuff but I won't get a popup notification when not in an app even though those are configured. None of the apps I have an issue with are in the "deep sleep" mode either.
I don't know if its a galaxy software update thing as my s21+ is still far from completely updated and I have never had an update affect notifications on any phone I have had in my lifetime. My s24+ I just updated to the update that came out in the beginning of last year (22025). Its also still on one ui 6.1, but I cannot imagine I would need to update all the way to one ui 8 for things to be fully working properly.
The apps I'm having issues with are youtube, groupme and possibly whatsapp. Those are all configured the same way as my s21+ as the notifications pop up just fine on it (well not whatsapp as that only exists on one phone at a time), so it has to be a software problem.
