I can consider myself as a PWM sensitive, because my eyes start to feel pain after few minutes looking in my S24U. How many years it has been since Samsung knows the problem exists. I mean one of the most expensive phones in the world and no DC dimming or similar as an option. Why? OK, the color might be not that good with that option enabled, but how would I care if I can't look at this standart color screen without it causing eyes pain. People who are not sensitive won't use this feature anyway. And now I have to return this beautiful 512gb phone back because Samsung can't add same technologies as some cheaper phones use for many years already.
If you plan to add this DC dimming or similar please let me know ASAP. Or if there's a some kind of solution to it or maybe a fix to make it more than 480 Hz PWM. Thank you.

The S24 series reportedly has a PWM of 492. My wife says she definitely noticed an improvement in eye strain compared to earlier models.
Could something else be bothering you?

Yes indeed they improved the screen. But take a look at what frequency other cheaper phones with oled screens work. They go over a 1000 Hz, some even 2000 Hz. I have my old phone with an ips, I never feel the same like with the oled screen.

Yeah they bumped it up, its still way too low though, it needs to be at least above 2000hz in my opinion.

It's definitely better than Pixel 7 Pro that I had, but I still can't use it for more than a few minutes at the time because of PWM

I am dealing with the same issue with my S23 and S24 Ultra. The only criticism I have for them is the 300 to 480hz PWM frequency they use on the Galaxy S series. Please Samsung AT LEAST give us an option in good lock to turn on DC or PWM dimming. without an anti-flicker mode it makes it extremely painful or impossible to use for some people with sensitive eyes.

Samsung is silly for the screen improvement when compared with Chinese brand for over 3840Hz PWM dimming.

I won't buy ANY SAMSUNG phones or screen related products from now on unless the PWM frequency increase to at least 3840 just like Chinese brand.

I also informed all my friends about the threats of the low frequency of pwm for phones specially for Samsung.

For the galaxy s23+ which i bought, I'm going to sell it asap and change to Xiaomi or Honour. The UI of Samsung is the best but i do concern more for my eyes instead.

Moreover, i also wonder why the cost is cut on the screen for the flagship phones in recently years. My last phone is galaxy s10, it had DC dimming at 100% brightness but newer model, all screens of OLED becomes trash!!

Goodbye Shamesung and i hope you will consider more about customers health. Thank you
