Galaxy S24Have you made sure notification categories are turned on? Settings/notifications/advanced settings/manage notification categories for each app. Then go to the app settings for whichever messaging app you are using, tap on notifications, make sure "allow sound and vibration is on", tap on notification categories and make sure the sliders are on for new messages or incoming messages, tap the text and choose a sound. Make sure "alert" is enabled. Also, make sure (if you want it) that you have "pop-up allowed".

Galaxy S24I checked and rechecked everything in your post and still I have the crossed out bell (silence) icon on every text message. Not sure what else to do.
